Silver Raven Farms

Silver Raven Farms of Malibu, California is owned by Carol Rosenstein, 3 time USEF Breeder of the Year. Carol and her daughter, Katie Polk are both riders. Carol started at age six and is happy being around horses, riding at home on trails and leaving competing to others.  Katie had considerable success in the Junior and AO Hunters with many horses including World Champion Hunter Rider Winner Eminem and Silver Raven. Katie represented the USA at Young Riders at Bromont, Canada on Festival and competed successfully in the A/O Jumpers on SRF Dragonfly.

Carol and Katie asked Nicki to take the reins on SRF Dragonfly, and move her up to the international level, which she did; riding her to second place in the 2008 Olympic Qualifiers and representing the USA on Nations Cup Tour all over Europe.

SRF Dragonfly is the mother of triplet mares, carried by surrogates; Abbey Road, April Moon and Akuna Mattata. Nicki started all three and brought them along through the Young Jumper Championships where they consistently finished 1,2,3 in varying orders. Abbey is a now an Amateur Owner/Jr Jumper, April Moon represented Venezuela at the Pan Am Games with Angel Karolyi , coming off 2 seconds in Grand Prixes at Spruce Meadows.

The most famous Dragonfly daughter is the one Nicki picked for herself, crowd favorite, Akuna Mattata. Nicki and “Nahla” compete at the international level, have been on US Teams, with numerous Grand Prix wins.

With new foals planned for 2021 the SRF/Rifflehitch partnership has a bright future ahead.
